Nicola McGorm recognised for support of elderly and vulnerable clients
A Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie LLP (WJM) solicitor has received recognition for her expertise in legal support for older and vulnerable clients.
Nicola McGorm, associate at the firm, has become a fully accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) (now The Association for Lifetime Lawyers) after receiving the Older Client Care in Practice (OCCP) and Older Client Law in Practice (OCLP) awards.
The accreditation from SFE is regarded as the gold standard for solicitors and chartered legal executives specialising in older and vulnerable client law.
Ms McGorm said: “I’m extremely honoured to receive this accreditation from SFE. We have an increasingly ageing population, so it’s more important than ever that we provide the highest possible standard of service for clients who are older and more vulnerable and to be mindful and supportive of their needs.
“We must ensure those clients feel comfortable and that they are treated with the same dignity and respect that we would of others who might not have the same additional needs.
“I’m honoured to have been recognised for this achievement which is testament to my commitment to excellence in my practice.”
Fraser Gillies, managing partner at WJM, said: “We are immensely proud of Nicola’s accomplishment in becoming a Full Accredited Member of SFE.
“Our clients need to have confidence and trust in their advisers and Nicola’s recognition as a Full Accredited Member of SFE emphasises our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of expertise in elder law.”
