Nina Derrin attains accreditation as family mediator
TC Young associate Nina Derrin has been accredited with the Law Society of Scotland as a family law mediator.
Family mediation accreditation from the Law Society of Scotland is only granted once a solicitor has undertaken and completed the required rigorous training and has been assessed by a panel of mediation experts.
This accreditation compliments Ms Derrin’s recent appointment to the list of Child Welfare Reporters in the Sheriffdom of Lothian and Borders.
Ms Derrin said: “I am pleased to have received this recognition from the Law Society of Scotland. It is the culmination of a lot of hard work and determination but ultimately hugely rewarding and something I am sure will benefit both myself and my clients.”
Grant Knight, partner at TC Young, added: “I am delighted to see Nina successfully achieve this accreditation, which is thoroughly deserved and underlines our firms commitment to training and development.”
This latest accreditation takes the number of accredited mediators within the TC Young family law team up to three, with Ms Derrin joining associate Evelyn Wallace and senior solicitor Vivien Riddell.
