Pagan Osborne embarks on three-year charity partnership

Legal, financial and property specialist Pagan Osborne has announced a three-year charity partnership with Alzheimer Scotland.

The charity, which aims to improve quality of life for 90,000 people living with dementia in Scotland, is set to benefit from the company’s fundraising efforts.

Pagan Osborne’s 100-strong workforce in Edinburgh and Fife raised more than £15,000 for its last charity partner, Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS), through bake sales, staff lunches and sponsored challenges.

Team members voted to support Alzheimer Scotland over other prospective charities, and have already planned a quiz evening and Dig In, Dig Deep lunches.

The Dig In, Dig Deep lunches see staff pay for a tasty lunch prepared by one of their colleagues in return for a donation to the charity.

Jennifer Lowry, human resources manager and leader of the Make a Difference team at Pagan Osborne, said: “We are delighted our colleagues have chosen Alzheimer Scotland as the latest beneficiary of our charitable endeavours. This is a very important cause which affects many thousands of families in Scotland.

“As a company, we are committed to our efforts for charity and supporting the communities we live and work. Sadly, many of us know someone affected by dementia on a personal level, and in the course of our work through our Lateryears services it’s an issue we are increasingly facing on a professional one as well, so it is a cause close to many of our hearts. Because of this we believe this partnership will be a truly positive and inspiring one.”

Claire Turner, corporate fundraising manager at Alzheimer Scotland, added: “On behalf of Alzheimer Scotland, I would like to thank everyone at Pagan Osborne for selecting us as its charity of the year.

“Pagan Osborne’s generous support will help Alzheimer Scotland to ensure that no one goes through dementia on their own by supporting our services across Scotland, including our 24 hour Freephone Dementia Helpline, Dementia Nurses and our network of Dementia Advisors.

“We are delighted to have this support and look forward to working in partnership with the team at Pagan Osborne.”
