Partner promotion at Thorntons
Thorntons has ushered in the New Year with a partner appointment at its Dundee office.
Lorna Goodfellow, from Dunfermline, has been an associate within Thorntons’ private client department for two years and has this month been promoted to partner.
Specialising in private client work since 2003 and with a keen interest in trusts, she advises on wills, inheritance tax, powers of attorney and succession planning as well as administration of estates.
Ms Goodfellow recently completed a STEP Diploma and also tutors at the University of Dundee on the Advanced Private Client Course.
Craig Nicol, joint managing partner at Thorntons, said: “We see it as vital to promote from within and to continue to develop our own talent. It provides the motivation for our colleagues to work hard for clients and the firm.
“We are delighted to start 2018 by making Lorna a new partner in our Dundee office and we will continue to invest in training and internal development of our people going forward.”
