Partner promotions at Digby Brown
Digby Brown Solicitors has appointed two new partners and three associates.
Trish McFadden and Matt Leckie were promoted to partners in May following a challenging but successful year for the firm amid the backdrop of Covid-19.
Ms McFadden, who is based in Edinburgh, joined the firm in 1999 and has specialised in the complex area of clinical negligence for the last 10 years. While renowned as a formidable and intelligent litigator she is equally caring and compassionate with vulnerable clients.
Mr Leckie joined Digby Brown in 2012 and works with the insurance litigation team in Glasgow. He has a proven track record in settling cases linked to road traffic accidents and accidents at work while working closely with the firm’s IT department to deliver innovative and bespoke state-of-the-art case management tools.
Ms McFadden said: “It’s a great feeling to be recognised by the firm. I look forward to the exciting new challenges it brings as I continue to help people affected by clinical negligence.”
Mr Leckie added: “I’m delighted to be promoted to partner. The last year has been a challenge for all firms, but we continue to be committed to providing excellent client service and access to justice for injured people.”
Alongside the new partner appointments are the promotions of three new associates: Kim Catterall and Theresa Mutapi who both work in the firm’s network department in Edinburgh and Sarah Ennis who plays a key role in the professional support team in Glasgow.
A further five people across legal and non-legal roles were also promoted.
Digby Brown chief executive Fraser Oliver commented: “Trish and Matt have consistently delivered excellent results for clients in their respective fields so I am delighted to welcome them – and our new Associates Kim, Theresa and Sarah – into their roles.
“At Digby Brown we are one team that strives to be the best at what we do – help the public obtain access to justice, be recognised as the leading personal injury firm in Scotland and be an employer of choice.
“The quality of our people is key to help the firm meet, even surpass, the expectations of clients.
“We believe our investment in training and the development of people is second to none. These new appointments exemplify Digby Brown’s commitment to investing in staff and maintaining our reputation for excellence.”
