Patience & Buchan raises £1,600 for Maggie’s in Aberdeen
Aberdeen firm Patience & Buchan has raised £1,600 for charity with its annual bake morning.
Staff baked their way to £1,600, which will go to Maggie’s Aberdeen.
Partner Ashley Simpson said: “Patience & Buchan has been holding an annual bake sale now for five years, raising funds for a different local charity each year.
“The staff go to great lengths arranging donations for the raffle and preparing home baking. We are fortunate in being supported by so many colleagues and friends in Aberdeen who attend or donate generously each year.”
A spokesperson for the charity said: “The Maggie’s Centre in Aberdeen is entirely funded by voluntary donations and simply would not be here, offering much needed support to people in the north east facing the challenges of cancer, were it not for amazing people like the staff at Patience and Buchan.
“Their kindness and generosity has resulted in a sizeable donation to Maggie’s which means so very much to the many people with cancer who rely on Maggie’s to help them through one of the greatest challenges anyone can ever face.”
