Paul Tweed to speak at Royal Scots Club In Edinburgh

Belfast-based international libel lawyer Paul Tweed will begin his Scottish speaking tour later this month with an event at the Royal Scots Club on Monday March 17 which is open to the public and can be booked here.
Mr Tweed will talk about his experiences battling mainstream media corporations and the new challenges faced in taking on tech giants and platforms like X, Google and Facebook.
The Belfast lawyer, who last year published a memoir From Holywood to Hollywood, will address solicitors in Edinburgh on March 18 at a free event in Parliament House hosted by the Society of Solicitors in the Supreme Courts of Scotland.
The following day he will speak to an audience of Glasgow solicitors at an event hosted by the Royal Faculty of Procurators. Tickets can be obtained here.
Both events qualify for CPD.
The tour has been organised by Scottish Legal News. SLN managing editor Graham Ogilvy said: “This is a great opportunity for Scottish lawyers to hear of Paul Tweed’s experiences and views on the fast-changing landscape of media law.
“We have had a great response so far and the Edinburgh lawyers event has required to move to a larger venue to accommodate demand.”
