Perth law firm is new corporate patron at Black Watch Museum
Gillespie Macandrew is the latest local business to become a corporate patron at the Black Watch Museum and Castle.
The firm, which operates a land and rural business practice from its Perth office, is already making the most of the new relationship by hosting a number of client events within the unique surroundings of the home of Scotland’s premier highland regiment.
A seminar on succession and inheritance issues and a wine tasting were the first in the calendar.
For Gillespie Macandrew, becoming a patron helps to ensure that the Black Watch’s “proud military history” is supported, promoted and protected in the local community.
Mike Blair, partner at Gillespie Macandrew said: “We are delighted and honoured to support The Black Watch Castle & Museum. With a local office in Perth, and clients across the Perthshire countryside we firmly believe in contributing to the local community. By supporting The Black Watch Castle & Museum we can contribute to sustaining the Home of The Black Watch for current and future generations.”
Anne Kinnes, CEO of the Black Watch Museum and Castle, added: “Our Corporate Patron Programme supports the delivery of our learning and outreach programme as well as conserving, protecting and displaying the unique collection at the Castle and Museum. We are delighted Gillespie Macandrew recognise our contribution to the community and have committed to supporting us to share the inspirational values of The Black Watch, Scotland’s Premier Highland Regiment.”
Gillespie Macandrew is recognised as a leading law firm in the fields of Land and Rural Affairs and Private Client and has deep roots in the rural business community, representing around a million acres of rural, development and industrial land across Scotland.
