Peter Coghlan joins Gilson Gray as finance director

Mr Coghlan has more than 16 years’ experience in the Scottish legal sector and will work closely with senior management to mould the firm’s future finances.

Originally from Australia, he worked in Sydney for nine years and is qualified as a chartered accountant.

He said: “I was blown away after meeting one of the founding partners, Glen Gilson, where he outlined his plans for the firm and how it has progressed so far.

“I was also really attracted to Gilson Gray’s modus operandi which is to do things differently from the norm.”

He added: “As a young firm, I’m really excited to be able to mould things and put my stamp on it.

“I’ll be working very closely with the management team and really like the idea of being able to see projects through and helping to develop different aspects of the firm.”
