Pinsent Masons’ Glasgow team raises £11,000 in aid of Kiltwalk
A 50-strong team from legal firm Pinsent Masons’ Glasgow office raised approximately £11,000 on the Royal Bank of Scotland Kiltwalk.
Lawyers and support staff were among 13,0000 Kiltwalkers who set off on a 23-mile trek from Glasgow Green and raised a cumulative £3.5 million which will be divided between 700 charities.
The Pinsent Masons walkers raised approximately £8,000 which will rise to more than £11,000 thanks to a top-up donation from Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation which agreed to supplement all Kiltwalk fundraising by 40 per cent.
Barry McCaig, Pinsent Masons head of Glasgow office, said: “It was a tremendous team effort both on the day and behind the scenes which succeeded in raising a significant sum for two charities which are close to our hearts.”
The Pinsent Masons fundraising will be divided between WE Walk for Water which supports the provision of clean water to developing communities and the Scottish Association for Mental Health which provides mental health support to communities across Scotland.
