Pinsent Masons reportedly searching for 10,000sq ft office space in Dublin
Pinsent Masons is reportedly considering an expansion into Dublin following the Brexit vote.
The firm does not currently have an office in Ireland, but is said to be carrying out a review of its Irish operations after the UK’s decision to leave the European Union.
This week, The Lawyer reported that the firm had instructed a commercial property agent to find 10,000sq ft of office space in Dublin.
However, a spokesperson declined to confirm The Lawyer’s report when approached by our sister publication, Irish Legal News.
A spokesperson told ILN: “We have a market-leading Northern Ireland presence which naturally lends itself to elements of cross-border work and a number of important relationships in RoI.
“It is true that Dublin is an important legal market and will continue to be so, and that we never rule out any proposition that could materially enhance our ability to service clients in the global sectors in which we operate.”
Last month, the firm announced plans to expand into South Africa with a new office based in Johannesburg.
Richard Foley, senior partner at Pinsent Masons, said of the expansion: “We said at the turn of the year that we would continue to invest to stay relevant and this is proof of our commitment.”
