Pinsent Masons ups NQ starting salaries to £61,000 in Scotland and regions

Pinsent Masons is to raise its starting salaries for NQ lawyers in London and the regions.
NQs in London will enjoy a 22.6 per cent increase in salaries – from £75,000 to £92,000.
The increase in the regions will be one of 35.5 per cent, meaning NQ pay will jump from £45,000 to £61,000. The firm has offices in Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Belfast, Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham.
The salary hikes are expected to come into effect this September.
A spokesperson for the firm said in a statement: “We recognise the importance of remaining competitive to attract and retain talent, of which remuneration is a factor. As a purpose-led professional services firm our focus remains on creating an environment that presents opportunities for development, champions innovation and promotes wellbeing for our next generation of lawyers.”
