Plucky lawyers take the plunge for Alzheimer Scotland
Pagan Osborne colleagues Jackie McRae (pictured) and Gillian MacNulty are getting themselves into deep water – but it’s all totally legitimate.
The pair are taking the plunge to raise cash for Alzheimer Scotland by participating in the Great Scottish Swim next weekend (August 29).
They will brave a mile stretch of the chilly waters of Loch Lomond, battling the elements to support their company’s chosen charity – a daunting challenge since neither has previously tackled such a distance in open water.
Both work for Pagan Osborne, where Jackie is the head of the Family Law team and Gillian is a senior solicitor in the private client team.
A keen swimmer, runner and cyclist, Jackie completed her first two triathlons earlier this year and says the event will be exhilarating, tough but so worthwhile: “We love a challenge and we wanted to contribute in the best way we know which means we’ll be getting out into wild water and pushing the boundaries, just as Alzheimer Scotland does with its research and support for people who are experiencing dementia.”
Rachel Smith, head of corporate partnerships at Alzheimer Scotland said: “On behalf of Alzheimer Scotland, I’d like to wish Jackie and Gillian every success in taking on this brave challenge.
“We’re delighted that Pagan Osborne are supporting Alzheimer Scotland this year – with their generous help we can continue to provide our vital services and ensure that nobody faces dementia alone.”
