Professor Frankie McCarthy reappointed to Scottish Law Commission
Professor Frankie McCarthy has been re-appointed as a commissioner of the Scottish Law Commission for three years.
A professor of private law at the University of Glasgow, she has been in post first as a lecturer, then a senior lecturer, since 2007.
Professor McCarthy teaches and researches in property law and family law, and has published widely in both fields. She is a graduate of the Universities of Edinburgh (LLB, DipLP) and Glasgow (PhD) and has been admitted as a solicitor.
She was appointed a Scottish law commissioner in 2019 and currently leads projects on heritable securities law and the introduction of owners’ associations in tenement buildings.
The reappointment is full-time and attracts a remuneration of £105,668.
