Professor Lady Sue Black to give Margaret Harris Lecture - ‘A Life In Death’
Professor Lady Sue Black, Baroness of Strome, is making a return to the University of Dundee to deliver this year’s Margaret Harris Lecture on Friday 29 November.
From 2003 to 2018, Professor Lady Black served as Professor of Anatomy and Forensic Anthropology at the University of Dundee, where she founded the Centre for Anatomy and Human Identification (CAHID).
A world-renowned anatomist and forensic anthropologist, Professor Lady Black will share her extraordinary experiences and insights in her lecture ‘A Life In Death’.
Her lecture will explore how her experiences have influenced her understanding of death and give details of her remarkable plans for her own final journey.
Professor Iain Gillespie, principal and vice-chancellor of the University of Dundee, said: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Sue back to the University and Dundee for what will be a keenly anticipated lecture.”
Professor Lady Black said: “I am so grateful to the Principal, Chaplain and University for inviting me to give this prestigious lecture. I sincerely hope I can do it justice.”
The Margaret Harris Lecture takes place at 6pm on Friday 29 November, in the Dalhousie Building at the University of Dundee.
