Professor Veronica Ruiz Abou-Nigm elected president of European Law Faculties Association
Edinburgh Law School’s Professor Veronica Ruiz Abou-Nigm has been elected president of the European Law Faculties Association (ELFA).
The 2023 annual general meeting and conference of the ELFA took place in Lausanne, Switzerland, from 12 to 14 April. More than one hundred participants attended the event, where they discussed the most recent trends and concerns in the field of legal education.
Professor Abou-Nigm is chair of private international law at the law school. Her research bridges disciplines, focusing on the intersections between private international law and various other legal disciplines, such as maritime law, public international law, international commercial arbitration and international civil and commercial litigation.
The 2024 annual general meeting and conference will take place in Edinburgh from 17-19 April 2024.
