Promotions and new hires at Gibson Kerr
Gibson Kerr has made a a raft of appointments.
Nadine Martin has been made a partner; her practice encompasses all areas of family and child law, including separation, divorce, financial provision, residence and contact disputes and relocation of children. She appears regularly in the sheriff courts and conducts divorce litigation in the Court of Session. She is frequently instructed in mediation work throughout Scotland.
She is a proponent of trauma-informed law and works with the Law Society of Scotland to deliver a specialist certification in trauma informed practice to solicitors throughout Scotland.
Ms Martin is also a trustee on the board of Glasgow East Women’s Aid which supports women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse. She volunteers for the Scottish Child Law Centre and is a committee member of both CALM Mediation Scotland and Consensus Collaboration Scotland – both of which work to promote forms of alternative dispute resolution in Scotland.

Experienced property lawyer Donald Towsey has joined the practice from McDougall McQueen and will focus on conveyancing, while Nikki Lemon takes up a paralegal role in the property department.
Stuart Millar has been promoted to senior associate; Katie Marshall has been made a senior solicitor and Rhian Mackay has been appointed as a paralegal in the firm’s personal law unit. Mr Millar and Ms Marshall specialise in all aspects of wills, power of attorney and executry estate work and both are members of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
