Balfour and Manson has announced promotions in both its Edinburgh and Aberdeen offices.

In Edinburgh, Peter Littlefair and Will Wallace have been promoted to partner.

Peter Littlefair joined the firm in 2019 as an associate specialising in litigation. He has acted for clients in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session. He specialises in personal injury cases including, but not limited to, accidents at work, road traffic cases, public liability, and accidents abroad. A portion of his workload also includes industrial diseases and medical negligence claims.

Will Wallace joined Balfour and Manson in 2021 and specialises in residential conveyancing. He provides assistance to clients for all matters related to residential and commercial property transactions.

In Aberdeen, family law specialist Sophie Pike has been promoted to senior associate. She joined the family team at Balfour and Manson in 2016 and deals mainly with child contact, adoption, interdict and complex cohabitation and divorce actions.

The firm has also introduced a new role of senior solicitor and is delighted to promote eight solicitors to this new position.

In Edinburgh, five solicitors have been promoted to senior solicitor: Alannah Jones in the medical negligence team; Kenzie Howard in the employment team; Martin Lavery in private client and both Donde Thiam and Emily Deans in family law. The three solicitors from the firm’s Aberdeen office are Katie Albiston in family law and both Iona Campbell and Diana MacKenzie in the personal injury team.

Elaine Motion, chairman of Balfour and Manson, said: “The wide range of specialisms in this latest round of promotions showcases the breadth of expertise and consistent excellence of service both our Edinburgh and Aberdeen teams deliver. We are immensely proud to be awarding so many well-deserved promotions as we continue to develop the skills and careers of our young talented staff.

“I would like to congratulate everyone who has been promoted and thank them for their continuing hard-work and dedication.”
