Properties selling faster on Perthshire property market, says PSPC
The Perthshire property market has “turned a corner”, according to the Perthshire Solicitors Property Centre (PSPC), which says it is enjoying its best Summer in several years.
July, August and September have combined to produce the best Summer season in years, while September was also the best sales month of the year.
PSPC also said properties were selling more quickly and were more likely to achieve their asking price.
Overall, the property network said it had sold 664 properties this year at a total sales value of just over £118 million, with the average property selling for £178,603. It said the figures were on par with 2014.
Anne Begg, manager at PSPC, said: “Looking at last month alone, September was our best sales month of the year, having sold 105 properties in just one month, meaning that the third quarter of the year – the Summer essentially – was an excellent quarter overall.
“It’s also becoming the norm for properties to achieve their asking price, more viewings are taking place and properties are shifting much more quickly – all in all, the market has turned a corner.
“What’s more, with November 2014 being last year’s best sales month, we are confident that the level of activity will stay constant in the weeks ahead.”
