QUB wins Edinburgh-hosted UK Student Mediation Competition
Queen’s University Belfast has won this year’s UK Student Mediation Competition.
The competition, hosted this year by Edinburgh Law School, was held on 26 and 27 January 2024 and involved 15 UK universities.
The University of Glasgow took second place, with Swansea University coming in third.
Eryka Kobelczuk from the University of Glasgow was named Best Individual Mediator. Chidinma Nwalupue of Swansea University was the runner up Best Mediator and the second runner up was Kimberly Fletcher of the University of Kent.
Running since 2008, the competition is designed to help law students understand the value of resolving disputes through mediation, develop their mediation skills and techniques, and to better understand the mediation process in general.
