Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace appoints Dan McFarlane to Aberdeen office
Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace (RCC&W) has appointed solicitor and rising referee Dan McFarlane to its commercial property department.
Mr McFarlane joins RCC&W from Aberdein Considine, where he has worked for the past four years. Starting as a summer placement student, he went on to complete his traineeship in the residential conveyancing department in Dyce. Local to Aberdeen, Mr McFarlane is now bringing his knowledge of the property market in Aberdeen and the north-east to RCC&W.
He said: “Whilst in residential property, I was very conscious of the fact that buying a house is one of the biggest decisions people make in their lives. I have always enjoyed getting to know the people I am representing and take a lot of pride in client care. I am looking forward to assisting our property developer clients and utilising these skills in a commercial environment.”
This appointment closely follows that of Gregor Sim, who joined the department as associate solicitor recently.
Outside of work, Mr McFarlane is a Category 2 Development Referee and regularly officiates in the Scottish Highland Football League. He is now into the second year of a two-year National Programme delivered by the Scottish FA’s Centre of Refereeing Excellence. Last year he officiated the Highland League Cup Final and, at the age of 24, is reportedly the youngest person to have done so.
Keith Allan, managing partner at RCC&W said: ”This appointment further signifies the continued success of our commercial property team and our commitment to the long-standing and highly valued clients the department has.
“Dan is an enthusiastic and approachable member of our team and we are confident he will relate well with both his colleagues and clients– especially those who enjoy a bit of banter about football.”
