Raft of promotions at Mackinnons Solicitors LLP
Aberdeen-based Mackinnons Solicitors LLP has announced nine new appointments across its property, private client and dispute resolution teams.
Pamela Bursill, Gregor Sim, Laura Totten and Jackie Cocker have joined the property team.
Ms Bursill joins as a senior associate, having spent many years previously as a partner and latterly consultant at Raeburn Clark Christie & Wallace in Aberdeen and Banchory.
Mr Sim, also joining the firm as a senior associate, was previously a partner with James & George Collie in Aberdeen and latterly a senior associate with Brodies. He is a senior tutor at Aberdeen University.
Ms Totten returns to Mackinnons from Savills in Aberdeen as the firm’s assistant property manager. Originally a property adviser, her time away has given her extended experience and exposure in other areas of the market.
Ms Cocker has joined the firm as a property adviser from James & George Collie in Aberdeen. She has worked both on Deeside and in Aberdeen throughout her career and will be based in the Aboyne office.
Property partner Pat Gray said: “As 2021 draws to a close, these new appointments will ensure that our firm continues to provide high quality niche property services from experienced personnel.
“As we move ahead in the New Year, what is uppermost in our minds is our future. We move forward in the knowledge that we have excellent people on board.
“The younger generation of lawyers and qualified staff coming through the firm are extremely capable, diligent and most importantly, share the same values as those who have gone before them.”
Meanwhile, Hollie Hutchison and Charlotte Arthur have joined the firm’s private client team as a senior solicitor and senior accredited paralegal respectively.
Anna Kaparaki and Rachael Bain have joined as senior solicitors in the dispute resolution team, and Susan Fulton has joined as a paralegal in the property and private client teams.
“Although the last 20 months have been challenging in many ways, we are delighted to announce these well-deserved promotions,” Ms Gray said.
“Each of these ladies has worked incredibly hard, especially in most recent times, to help us maintain and develop client relationships and build upon our existing core business in niche areas of law.”
