Renewables powerhouse ERG appoints Lynette Purves as UK general counsel
Lynette Purves has been appointed to renewable energy company ERG as its first UK legal counsel.
Following an 18-month secondment to ERG from Burges Salmon, Ms Purves takes up the role on a permanent basis in Edinburgh from March.
ERG has been operating in the energy sector for 80 years. It has a fully operational onshore wind portfolio of 1.9 gigawatts across Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Bulgaria and Romania, and 200 megawatts under construction in the UK.
Ms Purves, who also volunteers as chair of Scotland’s climate leadership charity, the 2050 Climate Group, said: “Renewable energy has a key part to play in the UK’s transition to net zero emissions, and I am delighted to be joining ERG as we focus on growing our UK business and contributing to the decarbonisation of the energy system.”
