Researcher seeks help of lawyers with expertise in Shaken Baby Syndrome

A researcher is seeking the help of Scots lawyers who have dealt with Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Elise Schwarz, who is writing a book on the topic, is examining the background and current status of Shaken Baby Syndrome cases in both the criminal and family courts in Scotland.

Also referred to as Non-Accidental Head Trauma, Acquired Infant Head Injury, or under more general terms related to infant injury and abuse, Shaken Baby Syndrome has been the subject of significant legal debate.

Ms Schwarz said: “I am interested in speaking with legal professionals who have experience in any aspect related to this subject, including prosecution, defence, and family court matters.”

Professionals with the requisite expertise can contact her on: elise_schwarz@yahoo.com. All communication will be treated confidentially.
