Robin Macpherson appointed temporary auditor of Court of Session
The Lord President has appointed Robin Macpherson as temporary auditor of the Court of Session for 12 months from 1 April 2020.
Mr Macpherson, an experienced litigator and solicitor advocate, will also become auditor of the All Scotland Personal Injury Court and the Sheriff Appeal Court, effective from the same date.
Most recently a consultant with BTO Solicitors, Mr Macpherson was a litigation partner in Robson McLean WS and Brodies for over 26 years. He will assist with the transition of the auditor’s role in implementation of the recent court reforms.
Tim Barraclough, head of the Judicial Office, said: “We are delighted to have someone with Robin’s extensive experience take on the role of auditor on a temporary basis. In the period of his appointment we will work with him to develop a greater understanding of the role as it moves to become an employee of the SCTS with effect from 1 April 2021.”
