Roddy Dunlop QC elected as Faculty treasurer
The newest Faculty of Advocates office-bearer is Roddy Dunlop QC, who has been elected to the post of treasurer.
Mr Dunlop was admitted to Faculty in 1998 and took silk in 2010. He has a wide and varied caseload, and has appeared at every level within the Scottish civil court system.
The post of treasurer became vacant on the appointment of Alan Summers QC, as a Senator of the College of Justice. He had been treasurer since 2012.
Mr Dunlop said: “I am delighted and honoured to be appointed Faculty Treasurer, a post in which I have an illustrious series of predecessors, and I hope to continue the good work of Alan Summers.”
