Fragomen is inviting senior school pupils and university students in Scotland to take part in its 2024 UK Immigration School.

The free online programme, being held for the fifth year in a row, offers an introduction to immigration law and related careers, providing students with insight into the field.

The first session on Wednesday 6 November, 6pm to 8pm, will introduce students to the UK immigration system and provide an overview of Fragomen’s responsible business strategy which includes pro bono initiatives and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts, as well as wellbeing and sustainability programmes.

The second session on Wednesday 13 November, 6pm to 8pm, will explore corporate immigration insights into careers in law and give students an opportunity to participate in a topical discussion on UK immigration updates.

Natasha Catterson, partner at Fragomen, said: “The immigration sector offers a range of career opportunities, and this programme provides a comprehensive overview of the available options.

“Attendees will be able to highlight their participation on their CVs, demonstrating specialist knowledge that could distinguish them in future applications. The programme aims to equip students with a solid understanding of the diverse career opportunities, the application process and an experience they can discuss during interviews.”
