Scotland-wide search reveals one of Britain’s best young riders as Watermans Sports Ambassador 2019
Watermans Solicitors is geared up to support one of Britain’s best young riders, Rory Skinner, after the multiple British youth champion was named as the winner of a campaign to find the firm’s next sports ambassador.
The 17-year-old motorcycle racer from Perth has been riding since he was seven years old and burst to prominence in 2013 when, aged just 12, he became the youngest ever rider to win the Aprilia Superteen Championship final round at Donington.
His career has continued to progress and 2018 saw him claim the inaugural British Talent Cup. Rory’s success and experience racing across the UK and abroad has made him a recognised rising star in the sport.
As a Watermans Sports Ambassador, Rory will receive sponsorship and support from the firm.
Scott Whyte, managing director at Watermans Solicitors, said: “Since 2014 our Sports Ambassador programme has seen us support some of the best sporting talent Scotland has to offer. It has been brilliant to see athletes, coaches and fans from across Scotland nominate such a high calibre of talent from all fields.
“The number and quality of nominations made it an extremely difficult competition to judge but Rory’s talent and commitment to his sport meant he truly embodies what it means to be a Watermans Sports Ambassador. It is an exciting opportunity to be able to support the development of his career and follow his continued progression as a rider.”
