Scots lawyer to cook up a storm on Come Dine With Me this week
A Scots lawyer will appear on reality TV show Come Dine With Me this week.
Edinburgh-based Aisling Scott, a solicitor at the Medical Protection Society, will vie for a cash prize with her fellow contestants James, Katie, Harry and Bruce.
Each night this week, one of the quintet will host their fellow participants; cooking them dinner and entertaining them for the evening.
At the end of the night, guests give their host a score out of ten, with the winner taking home a cash prize of £1,000 on Friday.
Aisling, who will act as host on Wednesday, hails from Ireland and moved to Scotland 13 years ago to undertake the LLB.
She trained and qualified at Balfour + Manson LLP and specialised in clinical negligence there for five-and-a-half years.
She now works for the Medical Protection Society as a clinical negligence solicitor representing GPs, doctors and dentists who have been accused of clinical negligence.
A seasoned traveller, she told Scottish Legal News: “I have a very keen interest in fashion, travelling and fine dining. I try and visit a new city every couple of months and this year I am visiting 12 cities across Europe, USA and Canada.”
The first episode will be broadcast at 5pm today on Channel 4 and will see interior designer James host the first of the week’s dinner parties in Edinburgh.
