Scottish Civil Justice Council publishes protective expenses order report

The Scottish Civil Justice Council has published a report on the consultation on the draft rules for Protective Expenses Orders.

The report summarises the proposals and provides an analysis of the key issues arising from the responses.

The SCJC has established a working group to consider the policy issues emerging from the consultation and to make recommendations to the council for revised procedural rules.

The working group is made up of:

  • Lord Malcolm (chair)

  • Joel Conn, SCJC member

  • Ailsa Wilson QC

  • Benjamin Christman, Scottish Environment LINK, Legal Governance Subgroup

  • Walter Drummond-Murray, Scottish government

  • Yvonne Anderson, Offices of the Court of Session, Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service.
