Scottish government appoints MacRoberts to select legal panel framework

MacRoberts has been appointed to the Scottish government’s legal panel framework.

MacRoberts secured places on two panels, covering corporate and commercial contracts and major projects, after a competitive tendering process which began over a year ago.

The firm previously worked on the acquisition of Glasgow Prestwick Airport by the Scottish government and the Forth Bridges maintenance project for Transport Scotland.

They have further marked the announcement of their appointment with the addition of a transport, environmental and parliamentary lawyer as a new partner.

Neil Amner, who has moved from DWF, is the seventh new partner to arrive at MacRoberts since October, adding to a near ten per cent increase in staff in the last year.

Over the four years, work worth more than £44 million will be subject to tender over the six lots.

The value of the commercial and corporate contract lot is £3.6 million and the major project lot £8.8 million.
