Scottish Human Rights Commission appoints part-time member
A new member of the Scottish Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has been appointed.
Jane-Claire Judson will take up office as a part-time member of the SHRC on 1 September 2017. Her appointment is for six years.
Ms Judson will replace outgoing SHRC member Matt Smith OBE who has been in office since 2010.
Ms Judson is currently the national director for Diabetes Scotland, responsible for leading and managing Diabetes UK’s activities in Scotland.
After graduating from the University of Dundee in 2000, with an MA in English Literature and Contemporary European Studies, Ms Judson went on to work in corporate policy and public affairs.
She has worked for NUS Scotland and at the Scottish Parliament. She holds an MBA and is a Health Foundation Generation Q Fellow. She has previously held board positions with Volunteer Scotland and the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations. Ms Judson is currently a board member at NHS Health Scotland.
