Scottish Law and Innovation Network to host right to repair event
The Scottish Law and Innovation Network (SCOTLIN) is hosting a right to repair event on 10 June at the University of Strathclyde.
Professor Leanne Wiseman (Griffith University, Australia) will speak on the following topic: Reinvigorating Australia’s Right to Repair: a consumer, competition, climate conundrum?
In 2021, Australia was well positioned to join the international right to repair movement. The Australian Productivity Commission’s Right to Repair Final Report made clear recommendations about what barriers needed to be removed to enable a uniquely Australian right to repair.
After Professor Wiseman’s presentation, Dr Lachlan Urquhart (University of Edinburgh), will speak before the floor is opened to attendees.
