Scottish Sentencing Council launches interactive case scenario

The new resource presents an interactive scenario, following the court case of “Paul”, who has robbed a shop. As web users go through the case, they decide what happens next and choose what sentence they would give Paul - if they were the presiding sheriff.

This new resource is an addition to the SSC’s pages on sentencing laws; the factors a judge will consider when deciding a sentence and the sentences available in Scotland.

All the information is linked to a jargon buster which explains legal terminology in simple language.
