Scottish universities among alma maters of 2016 Magic Circle partner intake
The Magic Circle’s 40 new promotions have revealed the most common universities partners attended, with two Scots institutions among them.
The Lawyer reports that Oxford produced 12 partners this year, more than any other institution. It was followed by Cambridge with seven and Edinburgh, with four. Seven partner’s university backgrounds were unknown while the remaining institutions each produced one, including Glasgow.
Clifford Chance’s Alexandra Davidson, a Bristol graduate who specialises in private funds work, made it to partner in the shortest period of time this year. She graduated in 2009, taking just seven years to get to the top.
