The warning for wind has been issued by the Met Office for Dumfries and Galloway, the Borders, all of Strathclyde, Lothians and Borders, and southern parts of Fife and Forth Valley. The red warning is expected to be in place until 5pm.

Normal business should resume on Monday but check the SCTS website and social media for any further updates prior to visiting those buildings on Monday.

Amber weather warnings are also in place for large parts of Scotland on Friday, with yellow warnings in place for Friday and Saturday.

As courts and tribunals are essential public services they continue to operate in areas where an amber weather warning is in force.  However, SCTS has taken the decision to close several courts in close proximity to the red zones as a number of staff and justice partners in these areas may need to travel through red zones to attend work.
