Scullion LAW and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) will host a ‘Fireside Chat’ for members of the Armed Forces community next month.

The aim of the event is to facilitate an environment for learning and socialising to enhance members’ understanding of topics relating to UK family law. The event will be held at the Western Club, Glasgow.

Established in 1885, SSAFA, the UK-wide charity, has been providing lifelong support to the veteran and serving men and women from the British Armed Forces and their families or dependents. All proceeds from the event will go towards continuing SSAFA’s programmes for its beneficiaries.

The guest speaker at the event, Judith Higson, is an executive director and head of the family law department at Scullion LAW. Her topic is “Collaboration, mediation, and separating with dignity whilst maintaining operational effectiveness.”

She said: “As part of our commitment to the brave veteran and serving men and women of our Armed Forces, and to support the great work that SSAFA does, Scullion LAW will donate £25 to SSAFA for every member of the Armed Forces community we engage with as a client.”
