Scullion Law offers free wills to everyone in Scotland over 18
Scullion LAW is offering free wills to everyone in Scotland aged 18+ in aid of Marie Curie.
Scullion LAW is the only law firm in Scotland offering this service. It has completed 700 sills since the campaign launched in 2015 and the firm hopes to be able to create over 1,000 by August while raising as much money for the hospice as possible through donations and gifts in wills.
It is hoped that people will donate money or leave a gift in their will to Marie Curie Scotland in return for their free will. This money goes directly to nurses in the hospice and on the frontline caring for people in their homes.
Nigel Gorvett head of legacies for Marie Curie UK said: ‘“We need support more than ever right now. Helping people get their legal affairs in order for free during these uncertain times is a good thing, because having an up-to-date Will is one less thing to worry about.”
Private client solicitor Gordon Lennox from Scullion LAW added: ‘“We would like to encourage everyone in the community to forward plan and make a will. We are delighted to extend this campaign to everyone in Scotland aged 18+ and over. We have also discounted the cost of creating a Power of Attorney during this time.
“Our offices are closed due to covid19 but our team continue to work hard behind the scenes from home. We have secure, alternative arrangements in place and are delighted to offer video calls, Skype among other safe and modern solutions to make things possible.”
