Throughout the partnership, which has already seen 1,000 people leave a gift to the charity as a result of the free will writing scheme, almost £250,000 pledges have been made since 2015. This is a substantial amount of future income for the charity.

No one likes to think of writing a will, but it’s important they do. Not only can it offer people and their families peace of mind, but it means their wishes are carried out and can make such a difference to a charity, like Marie Curie.

“Our nurses have been at the frontline of the pandemic caring for terminally people across Scotland. Coupled with financial pressures as a result of key fundraising activities being cancelled due to Covid-19, Marie Curie needs to raise £250,000 per week to support our services in Scotland.”

The free will writing scheme is available to anyone aged 18 and over and can be booked online via the Scullion LAW website.
