Scullion LAW raises money for Alzheimer Scotland with POA discount
Scullion LAW has announced its partnership with Alzheimer’s Scotland and is supporting World Alzheimer’s Month in September by offering clients and contacts a discount on Powers of Attorney (POA) and a free Living Will throughout September and October. For each completed POA transaction the firm will donate £20 to Alzheimer Scotland as part of our bid to raise £2000.
Alzheimer Scotland is the leading dementia organisation in Scotland, campaigning for the rights of people with dementia and their families and providing an extensive range of innovative and personalised support services.
There are approximately 90,000 people living with dementia in Scotland. All staff at Scullion LAW have completed training and are now trained ‘Dementia Friends’, helping make the firm one of the most dementia-friendly businesses in Scotland. The training gives people an understanding about what it’s like to live with dementia and means that staff are on hand to help and support those living with Dementia when using our services.
In addition to donating money to Alzheimer Scotland for each completed POA transaction, a member of staff participated in a zip slide over the River Clyde at the weekend to raise awareness of the cause.
Managing Director Nicholas Scullion said: “At Scullion LAW we encourage all our clients to forward plan and take control of all their legal affairs. The future is unpredictable and incapacity can happen to any of us at any time – from accidents and illness, to the onset of dementia – so we need to be prepared and we encourage our clients to have peace in mind. The Dementia Friend initiative is inspiring and we have already put our training into good use.”
