Scullion LAW raises thousands for charity
A team of walkers from Scullion LAW in Hamilton have raised over £2,500 for local charities after completing a 23-mile Kiltwalk in Glasgow.
Nicholas Scullion, managing director of Scullion LAW, said: “What a special day everyone had walking alongside 13,000 others to raise money for causes close to our hearts. We hope to make a positive difference to the lives of others in the local community and beyond.”
Liz Semple, Sarah Monaghan and Emma Wright walked 23 miles in aid of Marie Curie Scotland to help its nurses provide more care – at home and in the hospices in Glasgow and Edinburgh, raising £767.
In addition, Diana McLeish raised over £809 for the Catherine McEwan Foundation to help improve the lives of people living with inflammatory bowel diseases.
Gordon Lennox, from Scullion LAW Hamilton walked 23 miles, raising over £775.76 on behalf of Classrooms in Malawi in memory of his close friend Katie Allan who supported this charity.
Mr Scullion added: “And I myself took part in aid of Oxfam, in memory of the awful Easter Sunday attacks in Sri Lanka. I managed to raise over £158 which again will receive additional donations from the Hunter Foundation.
“So, together we are very proud to have made a positive difference to the lives of others. We are committed to the community and beyond. Every penny makes a positive difference to the lives of others and we encourage more and more of the local community to sign up to the Kiltwalk 2020.”
The sums will receive a 40 per cent top-up from the Tom Hunter Foundation.
