Second cohort of WS scholars to research children’s rights

The WS Society has welcomed its second cohor of summer scholars, Laura (University of Strathclyde), Jamie (Edinburgh Law School) and Fiona (University of Strathclyde), who have commenced their two-week research project.
The scholars will be researching how the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (Incorporation) (Scotland) Act 2024 is designed to enhance the protection of children’s rights within the Scottish legal system, and the potential impact of the Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Bill on the children’s hearing system.
