Sheelagh Cooley appointed head of Shoosmiths in Edinburgh

Sheelagh Cooley, a real estate partner at Shoosmiths in Scotland has been appointed head of its Edinburgh office.
Part of a planned rotation of the head of office position, she has stepped into the role during a period of sustained growth for Shoosmiths in Scotland.
Ms Cooley acts for many financial institutions and lenders. In addition to advising on acquisitions, disposals and leasing matters, she provides advice to borrowers across a broad spectrum of sectors on their funding requirements.

She is now taking on a demanding but rewarding additional role in which her colleague Alison Gilson performed extremely well for several years. Her predecessor, corporate partner Alison Gilson, will now focus on achieving further success as head of the busy corporate team north of the border.
