Shepherd and Wedderburn achieves Silver Investors in People accreditation
Shepherd and Wedderburn has achieved the Investors in People “Silver Accreditation”, a framework for business improvement through people in the UK.
Stephen Gibb, chief executive of the firm, said: “We are delighted to have received this accreditation which recognises the investment and effort made in developing our people right across the firm.
“This is not about labels or awards – to provide the best service to our clients we need outstanding people who enjoy what they do, and so it is about ensuring that we are a great place to work, and providing our talented people with the right environment to use and grow their skills. The IIP structure is a great way to help us achieve that.”
This latest accreditation comes hot on the heels of the firm’s “Gold” Investors in Young People award. In gaining that award the firm was benchmarked against various indicators including recruitment strategies, learning and development, management, support and guidance for young people.
Peter Russian, chief executive of Investors in People Scotland, said: “Successful accreditation against the Investors in People Standard is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to sustainability. I would like to congratulate Shepherd and Wedderburn on achieving this accreditation.”
