Shepherd and Wedderburn announces five partner promotions
Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP has promoted five of its lawyers to partner, bringing the total number of partners at the firm to 78.
The newly-assumed partners are Elaine Hunter (property and infrastructure); Lauren McLeod (property and infrastructure); Tom Swan (corporate); Stuart Greenwood (rural property and business); and Ben Pilbrow (commercial disputes and regulation). The promotions are across the firm’s Edinburgh, Glasgow and London offices.
Ms McLeod and Mr Swan began their professional careers as trainees at Shepherd and Wedderburn, and Mr Greenwood was a trainee at Tods Murray, which was acquired by Shepherd and Wedderburn in 2014.
Mr Pilbrow joined Shepherd and Wedderburn’s City office in 2012 as a solicitor from a London-headquartered firm, while Ms Hunter joined Shepherd and Wedderburn in 2014, having been a director at Tods Murray.
Stephen Gibb, chief executive of Shepherd and Wedderburn, said: “These promotions recognise the specialist expertise and leadership skills of our new partners, their deep understanding of the sectors in which they and their clients operate and their willingness to go the extra mile for clients.
“I am particularly pleased that three of our new partners were trainees at this firm or Tods Murray, which reflects our long-term commitment to fostering talent in the business. I would like to congratulate Elaine, Lauren, Tom, Stuart and Ben and wish them every success as they embark on the next stage of their career at Shepherd and Wedderburn.”
