Sheriff court bids farewell to typist after 38 years’ service
Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court typist Margaret McLaren (pictured) has retired after 38 years at the court.
Ms McLaren, originally from Kirkcaldy, served under 19 sheriffs during her career.
She said: “I will miss everyone but I am looking forward to doing some gardening and doing more running.”
At her farewell ceremony sheriff clerk Gail Smith paid tribute to the long-serving typist, describing her as a “valuable staff member who will be sadly missed”.
She added: “Margaret is a professional typist and everyone at the court wishes her all the very best for her retirement.”
