Sheriff Elizabeth Munro

A spokesperson for the Judicial Office for Scotland said: “It is with great sadness that the Judicial Office has learned of the untimely death of Sheriff Elizabeth Munro. She was 64.

“Sheriff Munro had recently been admitted to hospital following a period of ill health and passed away on Wednesday evening.

“She was appointed as an all-Scotland floating sheriff in Tayside, Central and Fife, based at Dunfermline, in 2004 before transferring to Dundee the following year.”
