Sheriff Principal's Mooting Competition

The Royal Faculty of Procurators, with its rich heritage and commitment to legal education, proudly presents the Sheriff Principal’s Mooting Competition, which is returning this April and May following the success of last year’s inaugural moot.

In the first semi-final teams from the City of Glasgow College and University of Glasgow will compete in a moot presided over by a distinguished Sheriff. The teams will be made up of two 1st or 2nd year law students from each institution.

The two teams that win through to the final will compete in a moot on 21st May 2025, also at 5:30 pm, presided over by Sheriff Principal Anwar.

Attendance is free and all practitioners and law students (whether participating or not) are are very welcome to attend all of these events. Each session will be followed by a convivial drinks reception, fostering opportunities for networking, camaraderie, and the exchange of ideas - an essential aspect of legal education and professional growth.
