Sheriffs and summary sheriffs to be recruited on annual basis

The Board has announced the launch of annual shrieval competitions, beginning in spring this year.

The initiative is one of a series of measures aimed at making the judicial appointments process more straightforward.

Announcing the move, the Board said: “We hope that this allows candidates to better plan out their career and prepare themselves for judicial office.

“We would like to extend thanks to all parties who helped us to bring this together to make the whole process more fluid and colligate.”
