Sheriffs appointed to Upper Tribunal for Scotland
Four sheriffs have been appointed to the Upper Tribunal for Scotland.
Sheriff Susan Craig and Sheriff Julius Komorowski (Sheriffdom of Lothian and Borders), Sheriff Jillian Martin-Brown (Tayside, Central and Fife), and Sheriff Stuart Reid (Glasgow and Strathkelvin) have been appointed as judicial members by Lady Wise. These appointments took effect on 1 November.
Lady Wise, president of Scottish Tribunals, said: “The work of the devolved Tribunals affects a large number of people in Scotland, with caseloads increasing across the board in recent years.
“I am delighted that Sheriffs Craig, Komorowski, Martin-Brown, and Reid have become members of the Upper Tribunal for Scotland. The new judicial members bring extensive legal knowledge and experience of appellate functions, which will serve them well in this integral part of the judicial system.”
